Camp Rising Sun is excited to introduce more of our First Year Campers for the 2019 season. Each summer, campers from all over the world are selected to participate in the Camp Rising Sun Program. This year, with the help from our selectors from all over the world, we are fortunate to welcome campers from 37 countries and several American states. Once again, we would like to extend a HUGE Thank You to all of our selectors and volunteers who made this summer possible.
Every student selected is awarded a full scholarship to attend Camp Rising Sun, which includes all expenses at Camp as well as the transport up to Camp from NYC. The scholarship does not cover travel costs to NYC. Camp Rising Sun is committed to having campers from all over the world attend our unique program and therefore have continued to provide financial assistance for campers, as needed.
Today, we would like to introduce a few more of our 2019 campers who are using social fundraising pages to introduce themselves to the alumni community and ask for support to help offset the cost of their airfare. Here is a glimpse at a few of the talented individuals who will be joining us at Camp this summer.
Meet our Campers
My name is Madina. I am from Khujand – a city located in the North of Tajikistan. Since I was a child, I have had a dream to see the world and to learn about the culture and people of other countries. I have always focused on growing and studying to fulfill my full potential – and to be able to make a difference in the world. I think that many problems in the world come from the way people think – their negative and positive thoughts. I want to empower people, to help them understand that if they change their thoughts they can change their life for the better. From attending Camp Rising Sun, I will be closer to my dreams of seeing the world, and making a difference!
