CRS Alumni Networks

LAJF is pleased to announce our new CRS Alumni Networks! These networks are led by alumni, for alumni, to connect across the world around common experiences, interests, and professional paths. The CRS alumni community is a lifelong community - and there is a lot we can learn from one another. We invite alumni to volunteer and be active with these networks as a means to keep in touch with the extensive network of compassionate, multigenerational leaders across the world. Connection can lead to collaboration, which is how we change the world.

If you have ideas for a network that you would like to organize, or if you are interested in getting involved, please contact our Advancement Office at alumni@lajf.org.

Recent Alumni Network

The Recent Camper Network is led by a team of recent camper Ambassadors dedicated to keeping their CRS experience alive long past their last day of Camp. Consisting primarily of high school students, the Recent Camper Network hosts virtual events throughout the year that are of particular interest to today's global teenagers. They are stewarded by a team of Alumni Advisor volunteers who support the Ambassadors in a similar way to how summer staff members provide counsel and support to CRS campers.

This network has officially launched and welcomes volunteers to support its efforts. If you are interested in getting involved as an Ambassador or Advisor please email alumni@lajf.org.

CRS lgbtqia+ Alumni Network

We are pleased to announce a new online network for our community members who identify as and/or are allies with the LGBTQIA+ community. The LGBTQIA+ Alumni Network will serve as a sanctuary where members can freely share their narratives, forge bonds based on mutual understanding, and offer mentorship. It is also a platform to facilitate dialogues that foster inclusivity and promote a deeper understanding of the LGBTQIA+ experience in various cultural contexts, given our international representation. The LGBTQIA+ Alumni Network is also a place for CRS alumni to network with industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals who identify as LGBTQIA+ or are allies. These connections can lead to collaborations that transcend borders, facilitating business ventures and projects rooted in compassion and responsibility.

All CRS alumni are invited to join this private Facebook group by clicking that link and selecting Request to Join. Once you are admitted to the group, please introduce yourself to the community!

College alumni network (CAN)

As of January 2024, the College Alumni Network is shifting its focus from being a college admissions support network to being a global community of current college and grad school students. This is a transformational time for many people, and the CAN will offer regular touch-points to remind college students of their CRS values, help strengthen their leadership skills, host open dialogues about important global issues, discuss possible career trajectories, and provide support to one another.

We will begin recruiting current college students to serve as CAN Leadership Committee volunteers to help launch the network in January 2024, as well as Alumni Advisors to provide support and guidance on the network's activities and programs. Please contact alumni@lajf.org to express interest in being a Leadership Committee member or Alumni Advisor.

Launching in January 2024

CRS Professional Network

The goal of the CRS Professional Network is to connect alumni with each other across the world as their careers advance from the first job through to senior leadership. There will be opportunities for experienced professionals to mentor first-time job holders, providing invaluable counsel as alumni grow professionally. This group will also gather virtually throughout the year for professional development discourse and panels. If you are interested in serving as a CRSPN Leadership Committee Volunteer, please contact alumni@lajf.org to express your interest and share your ideas.
