Why did you want to attend Camp Rising Sun?
My name is Tai-Ge Min, and I’m from the East Bay Area in California! Last summer in 2021, I chose to attend Virtual Camp Rising Sun, because I’ve had a lifelong interest in social justice, and wanted to learn more about topics like intersectionality and leadership while surrounded by other incredible leaders from all over the world! This year, I’m honored to be a second year camper because my experience in 2021 absolutely exceeded my expectations, even virtually!
What are you most looking forward to this summer?
I’m excited to finally experience the camp in person, while also getting to continue learning about leadership, and meeting more incredible campers!
To me, I've found that being a leader isn't about delivering a service or making decisions on behalf of a person or group, but about pushing people to make collective change. We had discussions about that during my time in VCRS, and I've been able to practice it since then!
