Family Weekend

As you may well expect, campers and staff anticipate Family Weekend with excitement and eagerness. Campers want to share new talents, ideas and friends with their families and guests. Staff members enjoy seeing the fruits of their efforts expressed in campers’ productions, hospitality and leadership. Alumni love to connect and reminisce about their own indelible memories.

Visiting families can provide an important service for CRS while they enjoy a visit to camp by volunteering to be “family for the day” for campers whose own families are unable to visit.  Please note that visitors under 18, must be accompanied by an adult.

Family Weekend Activities:

Cost to attend
Camper families are invited to join us for the entire weekend.  We ask that all visitors contribute to help pay for the weekend's food and supplies.  A contribution of $25 per person, per day is requested.  This includes meals. 

Lodging and Travel Information

• The Rhinebeck, NY area offers numerous options for lodging: Lodging near Rhinebeck
• Driving directions to CRS Red Hook (boys camp)
• Driving Directions to CRS Clinton (girls camp)
• By Train from NYC
  From Penn Station, take Amtrak to Rhinecliff. Taxi service to camps is available at Rhinecliff Station and takes 10 minutes. Or,
  From Grand Central Station, take MetroNorth to Poughkeepsie. Taxi service to camp is available and takes 30 - 40 minutes.
