The last CRS Times blog reflects on the boy’s time at Camp with a focus on the big things that have happened this week and the special events.
This has been one of the most intense weeks at Camp, but one of the most transforming. The campers started functioning better as a community and spoke to each other more freely. The second hiking trip, self-care day, movie night, and the weekly variety program happened this week as well. Read more about the week here.
With great privilege, campers met Leymah Gbowee, the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize winner from Libera. She is known for leading the peace movement, Women of Liberia Mass Action for Peace, that helped lead to the end of Liberia's Second Civil War. Also, three CRS campers were interviewed live on the radio. It was an exciting week.
