Alumni Connections

LAJF founder and benefactor, Freddie Jonas once said, “The possibilities in Camp Rising Sun Alumni Associations are far greater than those in Camp.”  Twenty five formal associations and several informally structured groups of CRS alumni have stayed connected, kept the philosophy alive and maintained an energetic CRS spirit across thousands of miles for over eighty years. 
 

Alumni connections include programs which mirror the pedagogy of Camp Rising Sun, reunions held around the world, friendship and counsel offered to one another and generous donations contributed to sponsor scholarships for new campers.

The connection inherent in our alumni association model is elegant in its simplicity.  It encourages links that are meaningful across cultures and achievable with even modest resources.  Our new networking website www.risingsun.org, is designed to help alumni start associations, stay in touch with one another and share suggestions about ways to sustain our commitment to camper for life.
