Pete Seeger '35 receives Grammy for "Tomorrow's Children"
Pete Seeger, CRS camper in 1935, has received the Grammy for Best Musical Album for Children for his recent album, “Tomorrow’s Children with Pete Seeger and The Rivertown Kids and Friends.”
Pete is the founder of the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater and has for decades devoted himself to promoting social consciousness through folk music and activism.
Pete was quoted in Sunday evening’s Times Herald Record as saying “I never thought in a million years we’d win a Grammy.” This is his third Grammy win after winning for Best Traditional Folk Album in 1996 for the album “PETE” and again in 2009 for the album “At 89.”
