Hai Ling '87 quoted on naming rights deal for MasterCard in China
Hai Ling '87 was recently quoted in a Wall Street
Journal article announcing MasterCard's deal to purchase the naming rights for the former Beijing Olympics basketball stadium. This is the first deal for a private firm to receive commercial naming rights for any arena in China's capital.
Hai Ling is the Greater China president for MasterCard. He commented on this opportunity:
"If you look at the world, is there another market with 1.3 billion people with a gross domestic product larger than Japan...Of course China is very important to us."
