You should have received an email with a copy of the 2017 Camper Packet. Please read this packet carefully as it contains important information about health and wellness, insurance and medical expenses, travel and visas, contacting your camper during the summer, packing lists, and more. This resource page will highlight some of the important sections of the camper packet; however, you will still need to read the camper packet in its entirety.
CampDoc registration due may 12
Camp Rising Sun uses CampDoc.com to store campers’ personal and health information in a centralized and secure location. In order to protect privacy, only CRS medical staff has access to campers’ information. The deadline to submit your CampDoc.com registration, including the physical evaluation and over-the-counter medication form signed by a physician, is May 12.
Most of the required forms needed to attend CRS will be available on CampDoc.com. You will receive a “Welcome E-mail” from CampDoc with information about how to complete your profile. If you do not receive this email, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org

Travel to/from NYC
Campers and their families are responsible for coordinating their own travel arrangements to/from NYC on the dates listed above. If you are purchasing your own tickets, please arrange your flights to and from NYC between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm on the following dates (evening arrival times are best). Campers must fly into one of the three following airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), or Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).
Campers traveling from outside the NY area must email their flight itinerary to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than May 12*
*International campers should not purchase tickets until they receive their visa from the US embassy or ESTA approval for members of the Visa Waiver Program
PLEASE NOTE: If there is financial need, please contact LAJF before any purchases are made. LAJF cannot reimburse families for travel costs. We will then send you a Travel Assistance Request Form and make a determination about how to cover the cost of the camper travel through donations and funding.

Throughout the summer we encourage campers to help prepare cultural dishes and comfort foods. Please try to bring hard-to-find ingredients or list possible substitutes.
